DESCRIPTION:Each year\, the Maryland War of 1812 Society celebrates our organization’s first charter\, which occurred on May 14\, 1842\, with a Mint Julep party! \nSpeaker\nProf. Glenn Johnston of Stevenson University will discuss printers and soldiers during the Battle of Baltimore and bring us up to speed on the happenings at Patapsco Neck. \nMenu\nThe menu for Old Defenders Day will be assorted specialty sandwiches and appetizers with plenty of mint juleps\, of course! \nDress Code\nCasual business attire. Compatriots are invited to wear their patriotic pins\, rosettes\, or Society accessories. Ladies may wear patriotic or Society emblems. \nEvent open to members and invited guests only. \nReserve your tickets ASAP.

All will receive a copy of our 2024 yearbook with our roster\, key officer reports\, and photographs from the past year’s Society events. \nSociety accessories will be for donation.
