Old Saint Paul’s Cemetery Restoration
The newly formed Old St. Paul’s Cemetery Restoration is a project of several nonprofit organizations (SAR, 1812, DAR, SR, etc.) dedicated to restoring, preserving, and sharing the rich history of Old St. Paul’s Cemetery in Baltimore City.
Interred in the cemetery are veterans of all major wars of the United States through Vietnam, as well as a veteran of the French and Indian War. Over 100 veterans of the War of 1812 are interred here.
In partnership with local historical societies, Old St. Paul’s Church, and the University of Maryland, which surrounds the cemetery, we are committed to ensuring that the site is restored to its original beauty so that it can remain a place of dignity, remembrance, and learning for many years to come.
The Maryland War of 1812 Society will coordinate the funding for this project. Other organizations are coordinating other aspects of the project.
